Refund & Cancellation Policy

⏱️ Attendance & Late Arrival

Public Training

• Miss or fail to show up for your class for any reason and you are not eligible for a refund or compensation; you will have to register for a new course.

Private Training

• A minimum of eight participants is required for private training.
• If any participant fails to show up, no refunds or credits are issued, and you are charged the amount confirmed in your original invoice.

Late Policy

• Per Canadian Red Cross guidelines, instructors will not admit any student who arrives more than 20 minutes late, for any reason. If you miss your class this way, no refund applies and you must re-register.

📅 Public Course Cancellation First Aid · CPR · BLS

• More than 48 hours before class: an administrative fee applies — First Aid & CPR $24.99 + tax; BLS $14.99 + tax.
• Within 48 hours: changes are not allowed and no refund applies.
• Same day you registered: no fee to cancel or reschedule.
• Illness: we will waive the fee as a one-time courtesy, with prior notice.
• Written quiz retake in class: $19.99 fee.
• Rescheduling is subject to course availability. Optional upgrades are non-refundable.

👥 Private, Responder & Instructor

Private Training

• Contact our office at least 7 business days before the scheduled training to cancel or change. Requests within 7 business days are not allowed and no refund applies.

Professional Responder

• More than one week before class: $150 + tax admin fee. Within one week: not allowed, no refund.

Instructor Development

• No refund for cancellations less than 7 days in advance, or for a no-show. A $100 + HST per-person fee applies for cancellations made 7 or more days in advance.

🚫 Non-Refundable Programs

• Security Training — non-refundable; delivered through our Ministry-approved training partner (your information is shared with them for course access).
• Online-Only courses (Pet First Aid, WHMIS, First Aid for Opioid Poisoning, Psychological First Aid) — non-refundable; access emailed within 24 hours.
• Firefighting Job Assistance — no refund once your information is sent to the service provider.
• Study Guides — non-refundable; access emailed within 24 hours and expires after 90 days.

📝 Exams & Recertification Eligibility

Examinations

• In-person courses include a multiple-choice exam via the Coast2Coast First Aid Assessment Application, using the same email you registered with.
• A minimum score of 75% is required to pass. Failing incurs a $19.99 retake fee. Certificates are issued only after full course completion.

Recertification

• Bring a current, valid (not expired) Canadian Red Cross certificate on the day. Standard First Aid recert must be from the full two-day course; CPR/AED Level C can be recertified any number of times. No refunds if you register and do not qualify.

🗓️ Course Changes & Alberta

Coast2Coast reserves the right to change, cancel, or relocate a course. If we do, students are notified at least 48 hours before the scheduled date.

Alberta Courses

• Traditional First Aid and CPR in Alberta runs two full days, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attendance on both days is mandatory for certification, and no refunds or transfers are provided for missed sessions.

🔄 Online to Blended Upgrade

Completed our Online First Aid & CPR/AED program? You may upgrade to Blended Learning to attend the in-class portion (no need to repeat the online part), within 60 days of registration:

• Golden Period (within 30 days): the entire online course fee is credited toward the new course.
• Silver Period (30 to 60 days): 50% of the online course fee is credited.

📦 Safety Shop & Supplies

• Returns accepted within 30 days of purchase; items must be unused and in original packaging.
• Final sale (non-returnable): personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, gowns, face shields), disinfectants, and non-contact thermometers.
• Approved refunds go to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
• Sale items cannot be refunded; exchanges are not available (defective items are replaced).

Return Shipping

• If an item is faulty or defective, we provide a paid shipping label; otherwise, you cover return shipping. For items over $75, consider a trackable service or shipping insurance.

• Not received your refund yet? Check your bank account, then contact your credit card company (posting can take time), then your bank. If it still hasn't arrived, contact us.
