CPR Training and First Aid Course

Toronto Training Facility:

Coast2Coast is a First Aid and CPR/AED company committed to saving lives and helping everyone in Toronto to be able to do so. Our Downtown Toronto location offers a large sample of courses at our training facility in the Downtown area near Bathurst/Bloor right next to the Bloor/Danforth Subway Line. We offer the highest quality First Aid training supplies and equipment in the Downtown area, which gives you the ease of knowing we only present superior supplies and equipment to our clients.

Practice & Theory Through Physical Exercises

We strongly believe that practical skill testing and learning theory throughout the physical exercises is the best method for our participants to fully learn CPR/AED and First Aid. Everyone practices on a mannequin for CPR, as well as using an automated external defibrillator on our test dummies. With Standard First Aid, everyone will get a chance to practice wrapping bandages correctly with other participants under the instructor’s supervision for exact results.

Home To First Responder and Emergency Medical Responder Courses

Additionally, with our basic CPR/AED and First Aid courses, our Downtown Toronto location is also home to our First Responder and Emergency Medical Responder courses. These courses are designed for those who are a part of, or want to become a part of, many occupations in the healthcare and care preventative fields such as firefighters, police officers, medical responders, paramedics, EMTs, and employees in other high-risk industries. Our attendees will learn basics about circulation and breathing emergencies to advanced topics such as sudden medical emergencies and injuries to the head and/or spine. Like our basic CPR/AED and First Aid courses, we offer many hands-on scenarios, where we focus on performing the skills correctly and using realistic practical sessions to maximize the best ability of healthcare and medical protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Online Blended format of First Aid and CPR/AED training is a WSIB approved Canadian Red Cross course which is divided into an online component and in-class session. This format is great for those with busy schedules, as the online component is flexible and may be completed in the student’s own time. The online component will cover the theory and knowledge portion of First Aid and CPR/AED training.

After students complete the online component, they must attend an in-class session in Toronto for a shorter duration compared to our Traditional All In-Class format. During the in-class session, students will focus on and practice hands-on skills such as CPR, AED, bandaging and more with one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors.

Learn amazing life-saving skills in the comfort of your own home and gain the confidence you need to provide first aid or CPR to someone in need after completing an Online Blended course with Coast2Coast.

Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) training is a Canadian Red Cross program designed specifically for healthcare professionals such as nurses, first responders and more. Formerly known as CPR-HCP, the Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) training course now covers additional course content in more detail. This intense training provides students the necessary skills required to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies in our Toronto training facility.

By enrolling in a Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) course with Coast2Coast, you will earn a WSIB approved Canadian Red Cross certificate which is valid for one year. This training will teach students how to work in a fast-paced environment, how to work as a team, high-performance CPR, trauma and more.

We know that those who require Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) training have busy schedules which is why we provide courses in the morning and evening. Complete this four hour training course with one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors and feel confident in your life-saving skills.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is included with all Coast2Coast First Aid and CPR training courses in Toronto. An AED is an electronic device that may be used on someone who is experiencing cardiac arrest. While performing CPR on an unresponsive victim with no pulse, you may be required to use an AED. When used correctly, AEDs could mean the difference between life and death for the victim.

You may find an AED in public locations throughout Toronto, such as government buildings, offices, public transit and more! AEDs can be used without proper training, but it is highly recommended to be trained as there are many types of AEDs available. Some AEDs provide verbal instructions whereas others only include written instructions.

If you are interested in purchasing an AED for your workplace or home, please be sure to contact our sales department and choose from a wide variety of AEDs (sales@c2cfirstaidaquatics.com). Be prepared for an emergency and learn how to properly use an AED by enrolling in a CPR/AED training course!

At Coast2Coast, we provide Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED Recertification courses for students who have completed a training and now need to renew their certificate. First Aid and CPR/AED certificates are only valid for three years, requiring students to complete a Recertification course prior to the expiration date.

Students may recertify the following courses: CPR/AED Level C and Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C. Those who have completed CPR/AED Level C may complete the Recertification course in Toronto over and over. This training will refresh the student’s memory on how to perform CPR and use an AED on an adult, child or infant. Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C, on the other hand, can only be recertified once, meaning students must alternate between a full course and a Recertification course. Re-learn first aid and CPR/AED skills with a Canadian Red Cross instructor.

Recertification courses will primarily focus on hands-on skills, occasionally teaching students new and improved techniques from the last time they completed a course. Feel more confident in your life-saving skills and enroll today!

Professional Responder training includes our Advanced First Aid training courses such as First Responder and Emergency Medical Responder. These courses are designed for students who are working or plan to work in a first response role such as firefighters, paramedics, rescue teams and more. In Toronto, we provide First Responder and Emergency Medical Responder training courses at 635A Bloor Street with highly experienced Canadian Red Cross instructors.

These courses follow an intense structure which focuses heavily on scenario-based training. Students will be required to practice and perform various life-saving skills and techniques to prove their understanding of course material. Professional Responder courses may last anywhere from two to eight days depending on the course level chosen and will provide students with the confidence required to save lives on the job.

Recertification courses are available as well, providing students the opportunity to keep their current certificates up-to-date. Learn a wide variety of skills such as circulation emergencies, injuries to the head and spine, understanding workplace legislation and responsibilities and much more!
