Training Levels:
If you are looking to update your First Aid certificate, our recertification courses are available to you in Barrie. It is important to be aware of your certificate’s expiration date. In order to sign up for a recertification course, you must register and complete the course before it expires. Our recertification courses are shorter than your original CPR or Standard First Aid course, but will still cover all important content. By recertifying, you will stay up to date with any new information the Canadian Red Cross adds to their course.

Our Online Blended course is designed for those with hectic schedules where training incorporates CPR/AED and First Aid online and in-class. This is a great opportunity for students or those who work full time. Before you attend the class, you must complete the online section which covers the theory and knowledge portion of the training. This will include videos, quizzes, and step-by-step processes to prepare you for your in-class training. The in-class section of the course is where you practice the safety skills you learned online with proper equipment. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides updated resuscitation techniques and an environment to practice high-performance CPR, Airway Obstruction, Assisted Ventilation and more. This Canadian Red Cross designed course trains those in the health care industry the necessary skills to be successful in their career. This course also gives students the option to add additional skills such as Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy.

Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol would all need to complete to BLS training.

Adults are not the only ones who should learn how to be safe. It is also important for the youth in the community of Barrie to learn safety skills as well as leadership and how to care for children. Coast2Coast offers the Canadian Red Cross Youth Programs designed to teach our youth the importance of safety and basic First Aid. We offer two programs for the youth: Baby Sitting Program: you will learn how to take care of younger children in a professional manner and learn what to do in case of an emergency. Stay Safe Program: teaches life saving skills and improves confidence to stay safe while alone. Registration is simple!

If you are looking for a private training, one of our experienced instructors will come to the location of your choice with all the necessary equipment needed and will hold the class anywhere in the Barrie region.
