CPR/AED Level C certification is valid for three years. Recertification must be completed with the same certifying body, which means a Lifesaving Society certificate cannot be recertified through the Red Cross; the full course would be required instead. Yes. BLS replaced CPR-HCP in April 2019. It is the Red Cross standard for healthcare professionals and first responders, with high-performance CPR and opioid overdose response included. BLS is valid for one year and is required for clinical roles such as nurses, paramedics, and hospital staff. There are no prerequisites; non-clinical workers should take Standard First Aid.
