The majority of workplaces require Intermediate/Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C. This WSIB approved course includes hands on training and lifesaving skills for injuries, choking, allergic reactions, and stroke.

They refer to the same Canadian Red Cross course. Intermediate first aid is the updated name many organizations now use, while Standard First Aid is still common in job postings. Intermediate First Aid is usually two days; Basic First Aid is usually one day.

Yes. Blended learning combines online theory with an engaging classroom session. Students develop practical confidence as they practise CPR, AED use, bandaging, recovery position, and lifesaving skills with a certified instructor.

Using an AED can improve outcomes in cardiac emergencies. Students practise with an AED Trainer and learn how to act quickly when a person has no normal breathing or pulse.

The Babysitting course is for ages 11 to 15, and Stay Safe is for ages 9 to 13. Youth programs teach safety skills, leadership, and basic first aid for young caregivers. Certification from youth courses has no expiry.
