- Hold a valid Canadian Red Cross certificate for each requested discipline
- 100% attendance of the course
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a professional, Red Cross–appropriate manner
- Demonstrate any required first aid and CPR/AED skill on request, to the Canadian Red Cross standard
- Stay flexible and adapt to the needs of each group
- Teaching ability assessed
