Frequently Asked Questions
Answers based on Ontario WSIB rules and Red Cross policy — no guesswork.
Your company size decides which you need. Workplaces with six or more employees per shift need Intermediate First Aid, also called Standard First Aid: 16 hours over two classroom days or a blended equivalent. Sites with one to five can use Emergency First Aid, also called Basic First Aid, an 8-hour course for lower-risk environments. Both include CPR with chest compressions and rescue breathing. Most workplaces require the Intermediate certification, and most Burlington residents book it.
Absolutely. Our Intermediate/Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C is fully WSIB approved and recognized by employers across Burlington, Oakville, and the entire Halton Region. Yes, CPR/AED Level C can be recertified repeatedly, and it covers all ages. Recertification is not available for CPR/AED Level A. Standard certifications follow Canadian Red Cross or St. John Ambulance guidelines.
