First Responder Recertification (FR) Training Program

Ready to refresh your First Responder (FR) skills? At Coast2Coast, we provide First Responder Recertification training courses throughout Ontario, helping keep our student’s certificates valid. This advanced training has been designed to go over content you have previously learned while also incorporating newly developed life-saving techniques.

The course covers a wide range of topics from assessing patients and circulatory emergencies to hemorrhages and soft tissue trauma. In addition to this content, students will also learn how to extricate patients, deliver a baby and so much more.

Each of these skills is not only taught over lecture but also taught through scenario-based training. Students will be required to act out emergency scenes as a way to practice patient assessments, vitals, various medical emergencies, and how to care for the patient. Practicing scenarios is a key aspect of First Responder Recertification training.

Requirements:

Proof of valid First Responder Canadian Red Cross Certification
100% attendance of the course
75% score on the multiple choice knowledge test
Successful demonstration of required skills
Successfully complete minimum of two practical scenarios (one medical, one trauma)

Certification:

Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

Private Training - First Responder Recertification Courses

Interested in Private Training? If you have a group of eight or more participants who need First Responder Recertification, you are eligible to sign up for a Private Training course. Private Training allows you to learn important life-saving skills at a location of your choice! We’ll send one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors to you. Scott is a really good trainer. I have been to many First aid/CPR courses in the past with other training companies, but this one was different. Scott used real life situations and techniques that make it easier to understand the acronyms, etc. I would really recommend you have your trainings with Coast to Coast.

I recently completed the Standard First Aid + CPR C course with instructor Rajeev K, and I can’t recommend it enough. Rajeev is incredibly knowledgeable and brought a wealth of real-life experience and examples to the training, which made the content not only more engaging but also relevant. He made a full 9–5 day feel light and enjoyable with his positive attitude, great sense of humour, and clear passion for teaching.

The room we trained in was spacious and comfortable, which helped us stay focused throughout the day. We used excellent practice materials, everything we needed to get hands-on and properly learn the techniques.

Rajeev kept the whole class engaged and created an open, welcoming environment where everyone felt comfortable asking questions and participating. He was incredibly thorough during the practical portions and made sure each of us had the chance to get the techniques right. His ability to connect with the class and explain things clearly stood out.

Both my friend and I left the course feeling confident in our ability to handle real-life situations requiring first aid and CPR, and that’s all thanks to Rajeev’s outstanding instruction & the Coast2Coast course set up.
