Online Blended Course Pathway

Why Choose Online Blended First Aid & CPR/AED Learning?
When a participant takes an Online Blended First Aid & CPR/AED learning course, the program consists of two segments: an online self-paced knowledge portion, followed by a scheduled in-person skills application component with a certified Instructor:
- Spend almost half the time of normal training in a class room
- Study/Review the online portion of the course at your preferred date/time
- Study/Review the online segment of the course a little at a time or all together
- Study/Review the online section of the course in the comfort of your home

Testimonial
I really enjoy the class.
Thank you
Walaa is very clear and supportive when it comes to learning the basics of first aid and emergency cpr aed use.
Derik the manager, Riya Chhabra, thank you so much for your coordination, professionalism and for accommodating us with such a great program efficiently managed!! Outstanding - Clarasol our daughter really enjoyed it and we would highly recommend it.
This located on the first entrance of this building from west side (with poster on its door), stairs to the second floor.
Chairs not comfortable for a long-time learning, but the atmosphere was very friendly. Our instructor Muhammad, was a very pleasant and professional instructor. Great thanks !
He’s very funny and professional
Great communication feeling of belonging
She was attentive as we practiced, giving calm feedback. She also guided us to rehearse all steps in a variety of situations (e.g., if we were alone vs. if we had someone who could assist us) including what we might say as we approach someone who might need help or when we call 911. Everyone practiced at the same time in pairs/threes so that no one was on the spot in front of the whole class, but we could also hear what other students were saying, and I found myself incorporating things I overheard that I thought were useful.
By the end of the day I felt very confident in my understanding of the course material.
A few things to note that I wish I had known before the course started:
1) You have to do an online portion before the course. At the end you are given a PDF certificate, with a message saying that your instructor will have a record of your online course completion. However, you do need to show it to your instructor when you arrive to the in-person; only one student had theirs easily on hand. Save the confirmation to your phone or other device.
2) The multiple choice exam is online. Although there were a few paper copies, you won't get your results immediately if you take the test offline. Luckily I had decided at the last moment to bring my laptop to potentially take notes, but I would not have wanted to take the exam on my phone.

Edit to respond to reply: RE: confirmation of online course completion, to be clear, no one received a confirmation by email. We only received confirmation of the completion of the entire course with the in-person practical by email. The online interim certificate must be downloaded from the online course website and shown at sign in at the in-person portion. That is why it must be saved before attending the course, despite the message saying the instructor will already have confirmation.

What is Online Blended First Aid & CPR/AED Learning?
Online Blended First Aid & CPR/AED learning is a combination of in-class training with online instruction. With the Online Blended format, theory and information are conveyed to the participants through an online module. This online module must be completed first. Students will then attend an in-class portion which focuses on skill development and the application of theory while under the direction of a First Aid Instructor. This program is WSIB approved.
In the Online Blended First Aid & CPR/AED delivery, standards remain the same as Traditional training with the following variations:
- Participants will receive online access to the Blended Learning portion of their course within 24 hours of registration
- The course is taught by a Canadian Red Cross Blended Learning Instructor
- Participants must complete the classroom component within six weeks of completing the online component
