Most Toronto employers ask for Intermediate First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, the pairing that satisfies Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Regulation 1101 on medium and larger worksites. It runs 4 to 6.5 hours. Intermediate takes 13 to 14 hours and can be completed as blended learning or one classroom session. There are no prerequisites, a minimum grade of 75% is required to pass, and certification is valid for 3 years. Clinical staff should book BLS instead.
