Do you want to share your knowledge with new or existing medical responders? Our Canadian Red Cross Professional Responders Instructor course in Newmarket strives to teach candidates the specific abilities required to instruct advanced courses such as First Responder (FR) and Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). Incorporating active participation, instruction in a variety of settings, and organizing unique sessions create a more engaging learning experience. With little training time needed, this allows instructors to teach important First Aid courses.

Candidates who meet the prerequisites and pass the evaluation for the course may begin with the Fundamentals of Instruction component. Before attending an in-class session, candidates must complete an 8-hour online course. Under the direction of an Instructor Trainer, they will demonstrate their knowledge and skills acquired from the theoretical component in the classroom component. After finishing the first stage, candidates may advance to a two-day Discipline-Specific component that prepares them to teach Professional Responder courses. Individuals may then teach in a dynamic learning environment and upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive their certificates.

Certifications need to be renewed every three years. We will check to ensure that the candidate has completed all of the courses and components they are willing to teach in order to validate their Teaching Credential. The following are some of the courses that one may teach as an instructor: BLS Instructor, First Responder Instructor, or Emergency Medical Responder Instructor. Get started on your dream career as a Professional Responder Instructor with Coast2Coast today!

Our Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor Transfer Course in Newmarket will help you boost your job prospects by giving you the skills and information required to teach a variety of Red Cross safety courses such as CPR, Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, Child Care First Aid, and Marine Basic First Aid.

Candidates with prior experience may qualify for the Instructor Development Transfer course if they meet one of the following two circumstances:

  1. If the instructor is approved by another First Aid organization
  2. If the individual is either a Canadian Red Cross Water Safety Instructor/Instructor Trainer or an educator at an elementary or secondary level

Depending on which conditions the candidate meets, their training will follow one of these paths:

  1. Those who qualify for the first condition will learn how to apply what they’ve learned from other First Aid programs to the Red Cross’s program. Before becoming certified as an instructor, potential candidates will still need to pass a skills evaluation and meet course prerequisites before starting the Fundamentals of Instruction component. When candidates complete the preceding processes, they may skip the Discipline-Specific component as they already know what skills and knowledge are required for First Aid and CPR. The next step for obtaining their certificate will be a brief, in-class teaching experience.
  2. Candidates who fulfill the second requirement must successfully complete a skills evaluation and meet the necessary prerequisites. Once this step is complete, they may skip the Fundamentals of Instruction as they have previous teaching skills. They will start the Discipline-Specific component instead. This component is 14.5 hours. After participants finish the Discipline-Specific component, they’ll move on to the Teaching Experience component. Here, they’ll practice leading peer teaching sessions.

Candidates that are successful will receive a three-year valid certificate. Register now to reserve your spot!

I recently completed the Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C training at Coast2Coast First Aid in the North York facility, and I had a very positive experience. The training was well organized, professional, and easy to understand. The instructor was excellent—very knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. They explained each topic clearly and made sure everyone understood the steps before moving forward. The hands-on practice for CPR, AED use, choking, and emergency response was very helpful and made the training feel realistic and practical. The class environment was comfortable and interactive, and there was enough time for practice and questions. I especially appreciated how the instructor focused on real-life situations and safety, which helped me build confidence in responding to emergencies. Overall, this was a great training experience. I feel much more confident and prepared to handle emergency situations now. I would definitely recommend Coast2Coast First Aid at the North York facility to anyone looking for high-quality first aid and CPR training.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Eshetu Mulatu Garibu! 🎉 We're glad the hands-on practice helped build your confidence in responding to real-life emergencies. It is wonderful to hear you had such a positive experience during your Standard First Aid training at our North York facility. Don't forget to tell your friends about us! – The Coast2Coast Team

Saika is amazing. I loved her training and she truly makes things relatable and I will remember her stories. I love that she is a mother and a woman and I appreciated her aspect and understanding in doing first aid on women, and some of the challenges doing first aid on large men also, as a petite woman.

Coast2Coast First Aid and Aquatics is a recognized business that offers certain First Aid and life-saving related certifications for professionals and anyone who wants to enhance their skill set. They operate out of various sites across Ontario (GTA and Southwestern Ontario) and are partnered up with the Canadian Red Cross. I'm an RN who has practiced for the past decade in an outpatient capacity. I recently acquired a new role and will be heading back to inpatient at a local hospital and as a result, took a full BLS (CPR/AED) course from Coast2Coast out of the Kitchener location. It was very comprehensive and the instructor (PRABH) covered all the related topics and was highly knowledgable with providing rationale. She had a good demeanour and was approachable – great qualities to have as an instructor. RECOMMENDATIONS: – ensure you have registered for the correct course as they have a ton listed on the Canadian red cross site. I recommend calling their customer service hotline – which was very helpful. I couldn't find my old CPR card and so the customer service rep assisted me in moving my registration to the appropriate class. Total cost $73 for the BLS – HCP one which will cover CPR, AED, Choking, etc across the lifespan. – ensure you have your old certification card to show them, valid within 3 years, if not then just register for the course again (4hrs) and pay the $73 bucks (taxes in). – Arrive early, or if you cannot make it then call and cancel or notify the instructor so it doesn't waste the instructor's time or the registered participants. All in all, very good course, easy payment, live customer service representative, and knowledgable instructors (aka. PRABH). Thank you.
Response from the owner:Thank you, Doc Lance! 🙏 Congratulations on your new inpatient role. We are so glad our customer service team helped you get into the right class, and we agree that Prabh is wonderful at explaining the rationale behind the training. Good luck with your transition, and thank you for choosing us for your Red Cross certification in Kitchener. Feel free to refer your friends and family – we'd love to help them too! – The Coast2Coast Team

I renewed my BLS certification with Coast2Coast. Hetal had a comprehensive lesson for us to refresh our training. She answered every question with perfect clarity and prepared us with all the information to pass the 20 question quiz at the end. It was easy, if you pay attention. I feel confident that any emergency situation I encounter that I can calmly and professionally handle what is required within my level of certification. There are many locations, dates and times to choose from, which is why I chose them, but they are clean, organized and have have well maintained equipment to train on. I will be renewing with them again next year.
Response from the owner:Thank you, L P! 🙏 We agree that Hetal is wonderful at keeping the lessons comprehensive and answering every question with clarity. It is great to hear you feel so confident to handle an emergency and that you enjoyed our clean equipment during your recertification in Scarborough. I made a mistake while booking and the customer support was great and helped me switch into the correct class. The instructor was informational. I do hope that in the future , they will have female mannequins to practice CPR on, as it has been show that women are less likely to receive CPR due to more bias attached
Response from the owner:Thank you, Emma! 🙏 We're so glad our support team could easily resolve your booking mix-up and that you found the class informative. Your suggestion about using female mannequins for CPR/AED training is incredibly valuable, as raising awareness about this bias is so important. We're glad you chose our Scarborough location.
