COVID-19 First Aid & CPR Training Protocol

All students must complete the Screening Questionnaire (see below) 24 hours before their course. If the answer to any of these questions asked in the questionnaire is YES, please contact us for a one-time free rescheduling.
The Canadian Red Cross societies have also asked all training partners to screen pre-existing conditions such as allergies causing sneezing and reschedule the training if the participant has sneezing/flu-like symptoms. This extra due diligence is requested from partners to ensure all participants feel safe and secure during the course. If this applies to you, consult our office and we will work with you to find the most suitable option.
During Training:
It is recommended that students wear a face mask and a face shield during their training due to group activities that must be performed in the class. Face masks and face shields are not mandatory but recommended. Although, if you are experiencing any symptoms, we request that you do wear a face mask.
What We Do To Keep You Safe:
In an effort to combat COVID-19, Coast2Coast First Aid and Aquatics Inc. has implemented the following procedures:
- Students may receive an individually sealed student kit (Triangular bandage, gloves, conforming bandage, gauze pad, adhesive tape)*
- Students will receive a one-time-use filter to practice rescue breaths
- Implemented use of strong disinfectant solutions to clean surfaces and equipment before and after each training
- Increased availability of disinfectant wipes to clean manikins, training equipment, and surfaces during the training
- Increased availability of hand sanitizers in class to allow participants for quick hand cleaning
Handwashing:
Handwashing is highly recommended to prevent the spread of viruses and pathogens and you may be asked to wash your hands several times during the training. We recommend proper handwashing during the following instances:
- Beginning and end of the class
- Before and after meals/snacks
Food and Snack:
Students are allowed to eat and drink in class during breaks. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please continue wash/sanitize hands prior to handling food and physical distance from classmates.
Textbooks:
During the class, we will not be distributing loaner textbooks in order to prevent cross-transmission of the diseases between students. You may download the PDF version of the book from your confirmation message and use your tablet/laptop/smartphone during the class OR you may purchase a hard copy version. Please understand that these are the only two options feasible at this time; once the situation with COVID-19 is resolved, we may return to our original practice of using loaner textbooks during the class.
Participants should use their own learning equipment each day including, manuals, worksheets, calculators, notebooks, pens, pencils, etc. These items should not be shared with other participants.
After Training:
We recommend that you wash your hands upon leaving our facility. When you get home, we recommend that you change and wash your attire as well before getting in contact with your family members.

Testimonials!
He shared many stories he’s encountered over the years which made the training more engaging, interesting and fun! I couldn’t have asked for a better training or trainer. Not sure how much John gets compensated, however I believe with the 110% effort he brings to the classroom, he deserves a raise! 🙂 all in all, I’d suggest you schedule your next certification for first aid with them. Thank you John for making my day so much fun and informative!
He always made the class very comfortable for our duties as First Aiders.
Thank you Coast 2Coast and Ali.
I will absolutely recommend this class.
Saika was incredibly professional yet very humble and approachable throughout the two days. She trained us thoroughly, ensuring everyone understood not just the “how,” but also the “why” behind the procedures. Her patience was remarkable; she took the time to answer every question clearly and made the intensive learning experience engaging and comfortable for everyone in the room.
If you have the opportunity to take a course led by Saika, do not hesitate—you will be trained well.
I recently completed my CPR and First Aid certification with Coast to Coast, and I cannot recommend this training highly enough. The entire experience, from registration to certification, was professional and extremely well-organized.
A huge part of this success was our instructor, Tatiana Briceno. Tatiana is truly an exceptional educator. She brought a high level of expertise, passion, and clarity to the material, making complex procedures easy to understand and remember. Her teaching style was engaging—she seamlessly blended theory with hands-on practice, giving everyone the confidence to perform the skills under pressure.
Tatiana created a very supportive and interactive learning environment. She was patient, answered every question thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable with the practical scenarios. This wasn’t just a mandatory course; it was a genuinely valuable learning experience.
If you are looking for high-quality, practical, and confidence-boosting First Aid and CPR training, choose Coast to Coast, and specifically ask for Tatiana Briceno! Five stars!
Kudos to him 10/10
