First Responder

Course Info:	40 hours teaching time 4-day training
Requirements:	100% attendance of the course 75% score on the multiple choice knowledge test Successful demonstration of required skills Successfully complete a minimum of one practical scenario
Certification:	Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

First Responder - Recertification

Course Info:	20 hours teaching time 2-day training
Requirements:	Proof of valid First Responder Canadian Red Cross Certification 100% attendance of the course 75% score of the multiple choice knowledge test Successful demonstration of required skills Successfully complete a minimum of one practical scenario
Certification:	Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

Emergency Medical Responder

Course Info:	80 hours teaching time 8-day training
Requirements:	Must be certified in Standard First Aid & CPR-C 100% attendance of the course 75% score on the multiple choice knowledge test Successful demonstration of required skills Successfully complete minimum of two practical scenarios (one medical, one trauma)
Certification:	Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

I really liked Hassan's approach to teaching BLS. He gave us engaging scenarios to apply our learning to and he had a good sense of humour. I learned a lot in his class which instructors in other places did not teach me. Additionally the price for the BLS certification was reasonable and I loved how there was a discounted option for those who had a current certification. Will go here next time for my re-certification.

I had a great experience with my CPR instructor, Nida Farooqui. She explained everything clearly and made sure everyone understood each step before moving on. The training was very hands-on, which helped me feel more confident in performing CPR in real-life situations. Nida was patient, approachable, and encouraged questions, creating a comfortable learning environment. I especially appreciated how she focused on both proper technique and real-world scenarios. Overall, it was an informative and well-organized class, and I feel much more prepared because of it.

Don’t go for the extras that they ask you when you pay for cpr as it’s not mandatory. If you want to learn how to save a life for a family member in emergencies, go for it.
