    At Coast2Coast, we offer the Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course. This course has been revised and updated to focus more specifically on caring for younger children regularly and during emergency situations. It is a Red Cross-approved course that emphasizes First Aid and CPR skills for infants and children.

    This Babysitting course will cover topics such as managing problematic behaviours, professionally conducting yourself as a babysitter, and learning how to run a small business. Our Babysitting program promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. At Coast2Coast, we believe this amazing babysitting course is for any pre-teen or teen looking to care for children of all ages.

    Training is held over 4 sessions, 90 minutes each. Participants must complete 30 minutes of at-home work after each session with family.

    Our Babysitting training course does not have many requirements prior to attending, making it easy for participants to register for one of our upcoming trainings! With these minimal requirements, more of our youth may learn babysitting skills and begin their babysitting business.

    The Babysitting course requires participants to be 11 to 15 years of age.

    As a leading provider of Canadian Red Cross first aid and CPR training courses, Coast2Coast is proud to provide Youth courses as well. Babysitting is one of our two available Youth programs that we offer, providing special training to the children of our communities.

    Why Youth Courses are Important

    Youth courses, such as Babysitting, are great for teens to not only learn how to care for young children, but also learn amazing life-saving skills! Each of our Youth programs include basic First Aid and CPR training which is an important skill for people of all ages to learn. We believe that it is never too early to learn these skills as accidents happen to people of all ages. Help your children feel confident while taking care of a younger child. Babysitting courses will contain hands-on practice as well as a lecture to keep them engaged and help them understand how to provide necessary care for a child. Participants will practice feeding, dressing and changing diapers for children/infants and learn how to provide CPR, handle nosebleeds, splinters, breathing emergencies and more!

    I completed the bls renewal course here with Selina Rawe as my instructor. Certification Process & Temporary Certificate: As clearly outlined in our terms and conditions and confirmation email, your official certificate is emailed within 5 to 10 business days. The physical certificate booklet you received is a valid temporary certificate issued by the Canadian Red Cross. If your employer requires specific details such as start and end dates, it is up to you to communicate this to them. Express Certificate Option: For customers needing their certification sooner, we offer an express service to receive the certificate within 24 hours for a small fee. This is an optional service, not an additional charge for your standard certificate, which will still be sent within the stated timeframe.
