It does not change the official course materials set by the Canadian Red Cross, which we deliver as an authorized Training Partner.

📚 How we research and source

We base health and safety content on authoritative, primary sources. These include the Canadian Red Cross curriculum, the Canadian Standards Association First Aid standard (CSA Z1210), Heart & Stroke guidelines, and provincial workplace regulators such as the WSIB in Ontario and OHS in Alberta.

Requirements vary by province and change over time, so where that matters we say so and point to the regulator. Certification rules can change, so we encourage readers to confirm current requirements with their own employer or regulator before booking.

Every piece of educational content about First Aid, CPR, AED, and Basic Life Support is reviewed by an instructor-level professional before we publish it. Those reviews are carried out by qualified Canadian Red Cross instructors and instructor trainers on our team, including Ashkon Pourheidary, Co-Founder and Canadian Red Cross Instructor Trainer.

Reviewers confirm that guidance reflects current course standards and that it is safe, clear, and appropriate for a general audience.

🔁 Accuracy, updates, and corrections

We date our articles and review them periodically, updating them when standards, prices, or course details change. Accuracy matters more to us than being first to publish.

🤖 Use of AI

We use AI tools to help with research and to structure our content, and we offer an AI study assistant, Coasty, that helps learners find answers and the right course.

AI does not have the final say. Every piece of content is written and reviewed by qualified humans before it is published, with educational articles signed off by an instructor-level reviewer. Coasty is a study aid, not a substitute for taking a certified course with a qualified instructor.

Coast2Coast First Aid is a training provider, so our content naturally references our own courses and locations. We keep factual, educational information separate from promotion, and we do not let advertising or partnerships change the facts we report.

Award and accreditation statements reflect recognition as communicated to us by the issuing body, such as the Canadian Red Cross, and are not claims of endorsement.
