🤝 Our Commitment

We are committed to providing an accessible and welcoming experience for all students, employees, and visitors. We strive to provide our courses and services in a way that respects the dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity of people with disabilities, in line with the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

💻 Website & Digital Accessibility

We aim to conform our website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we keep improving over time. We build our pages to support:

  • Clear navigation — consistent, intuitive menus and page structure.
  • Alternative text — descriptive alt text on images for screen reader users.
  • Readable text — legible fonts and sufficient colour contrast.
  • Keyboard access — pages that can be used without a mouse.
  • Screen-reader structure — proper headings and labels for assistive technology.
  • Video captions — where we provide video, we work to include captions.

Accessible Training & Accommodations

We work with participants to accommodate accessibility needs wherever possible, which may include:

  • Discussing your needs before the course so we can prepare.
  • Accessible formats for course materials where available.
  • Welcoming support persons and assistive devices in our training rooms.
  • Flexible arrangements for demonstrating required skills where appropriate.

📝 Requesting an Accommodation

If you need an accommodation to take part in a course, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements. The more notice you can give us, the better we can prepare to meet your needs on the day.

📄 Accessible Formats & Communication Supports

On request, we will work with you to provide information and communication supports in an accessible format that meets your needs, where possible. Let us know what works best for you and we will do our best to accommodate.

🐾 Service Animals & Support Persons

Service animals and support persons are welcome in our training spaces. If you plan to attend with a service animal or support person, you are welcome to let us know in advance so we can ensure a smooth experience.

🔄 Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time task. We review and work to improve the accessibility of our website, facilities, and courses over time, and we take feedback seriously as part of that process.

📩 Feedback & Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website, facilities, and courses. If you encounter a barrier or need information in an accessible format, please contact us:

We will respond to feedback and accommodation requests in a timely manner and in a format that meets your needs where possible.
