    What is Marine First Aid?

    Marine First Aid training courses are for those who work in marine environments and require first aid and CPR/AED training. These courses will cover a variety of topics ranging from head and spine injuries, airway emergencies, environmental emergencies and more!

    Understanding and knowing how to perform first aid and CPR/AED skills is an important aspect of working in the marine or fishing industry. Depending on your job, there may be times where you do not have access to a doctor or hospital for a long period of time but require first aid. Our training courses will not only provide you the skills and knowledge required to assist others with various emergencies, but also ensure your confidence while doing so, keeping you and your co-workers safe.

    Marine Basic First Aid

    Coast2Coast offers the Canadian Red Cross Marine Basic First Aid course, which meets all the standards and requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport publication (TP) 13008 E. This is a comprehensive 16 hours, two day training course which allows the participant to earn a rating certificate or endorsement, Master or Chief Mate limited certification, provide first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-costal voyage, class 2, or sheltered waters.

    These life-saving skills are taught to help identify, avert and respond to medical emergency situations with proper first aid and CPR revolving around scenarios encountered by the marine/fishing industry. Keep yourself and your co-workers safe and learn Marine Basic First Aid & CPR/AED today!

    At Coast2Coast, we provide private/group training courses throughout the province of Ontario. Our private Marine First Aid training courses are taught by experienced Canadian Red Cross instructors who use top-notch equipment, perfect for practicing and perfecting hands-on skills.     I just completed my recertification with Chuck in Niagara, and after completing several certifications throughout my career, I can confidently say this was the best one I’ve done yet.

    Chuck kept the day moving at a great pace-engaging, practical, and very hands-on. It was clear from the start that he knows the content inside and out. He delivered most of the training from memory, which made it incredibly easy to follow and stay engaged. Rather than reading from notes or a manual, he created a learning experience that felt natural, responsive, and grounded in real-world application.

    Kelly is an amazing instructor! Couple recommendations is request that people be mindful of allergens (peanuts, fragrances) beforehand, and make the text bigger on the screen for people in the back. Otherwise fantastic!
