First Aid and CPR Course, BLS Training in Waterloo

Majority of workplaces require Intermediate first aid certification with CPR/AED Level C, which covers Adult, Child, and Infant. Since the WSIB modernized First Aid Program launched on June 22, 2026, courses must meet CSA Z1210:24 standards. Online-only certificates do not count for workplace compliance, because employers need staff who have practised the skills with an instructor.

Your CPR/AED Level C certificate is valid for three years, and recertification must be completed with the same certifying body. Eligible students can recertify within 90 days of expiry, and a blended recertification often takes about 4 hours. Past 90 days, the full course is required, with a minimum passing grade of 75%.

The levels differ by who you are trained to help. CPR Level C covers Adult, Child, and Infant, which is why most workplaces ask for it. CPR Level B covers Child and Infant only and mostly suits childcare settings. CPR Level A covers Adult only. All three include automated external defibrillator practice.
