At Coast2Coast, we offer private Peterborough First Aid & CPR/AED courses at many levels including: CPR/AED Level A, CPR/AED Level C, Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C or Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C. With the Traditional All-In-Class learning format, students will complete their training strictly in-class with one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors. First Aid and CPR/AED Recertification courses are designed to keep your life-saving skills up-to-date as certificates expire after three years. At Coast2Coast, we offer private/group Peterborough First Aid & CPR/AED Blended courses, making it simple for our students to earn a Canadian Red Cross certificate. The Online Blended training is divided into two sections: Online and In-Class.
In the online portion, students will be required to read and watch videos on first aid and CPR as well as complete games and quizzes to help them understand the material. This section must be completed prior to their in-class session. During the in-class portion, students will primarily focus on hands-on training with one of our experienced Canadian Red Cross instructors, practicing the first aid and CPR skills they learned online.
With the Online Blended format, students will earn a WSIB approved certificate from the Canadian Red Cross, valid for three years. At Coast2Coast, the Professional Responder training program is part of our advanced First Aid and CPR/AED training courses, designed for those in first responder roles. We offer many advanced courses such as First Responder and Emergency Medical Responder. Students will go through intense training ranging from two to eight days depending on course level. Those who typically enroll in a Professional Responder course are paramedics, fire safety services, rescue services and more.
We value our first responders and view them as heroes which is why it is so important for us to provide them with the best training possible. During our courses, students will practice intense, scenario-based training, preparing them for emergencies they may face while on the job. Training Levels:
Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) courses are intense trainings meant for healthcare professionals. This four hour training course covers a variety of topics including high-intensity CPR, how to work in a fast-paced environments, opioid overdose, trauma and more. Not only will students learn life-saving skills, they will also learn how to work in a setting such as a hospital and feel confident doing so.
During a private Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) training in Peterborough with Coast2Coast, students can expect to practice life-saving skills with an experienced Canadian Red Cross instructor. Childhood safety is of utmost importance which is why we offer private Youth courses to the community of Peterborough. We provide two youth courses, Babysitting and Stay Safe, which follow Canadian Red Cross guidelines. Pre-teens and teens will learn topics ranging from leadership, first aid, safety and more!
Babysitting is a course designed for teens which teaches them various skills such as how to care for children, how to start a babysitting business and how to perform first aid and CPR if necessary. Stay Safe, on the other hand, teaches pre-teens and teens how to keep themselves safe when there is no adult supervision. Additionally, students will learn basic first aid and CPR skills.
