Most employers require an Intermediate/Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification. This program meets provincial WSIB Regulation 1101 requirements, so your organisation stays fully compliant.

Intermediate/Standard First Aid with CPR-C is completed over two days. We also offer a blended format with one day of online learning and one day of in-class skills practice.

Yes, they are the same. The name was updated from Standard to Intermediate First Aid in 2022. The content, duration and resulting certification are identical.

Under Canadian Red Cross program rules, recertification is possible for a certification issued within the past three years. It must be done within 90 days of expiry and can only be completed once before you retake the full course. These are certifying-body rules, not WSIB requirements.

This level of CPR training teaches resuscitation techniques for adults, children, and infants. It also covers how to respond to choking emergencies and how to properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
