Our blended program is the common WSIB choice in Belleville and is accepted on many school and workplace forms. Our first aid training room at 387 N Front St is purpose-built for certification, with CPR AED mannequins, an AED Trainer, first aid equipment, and classroom space for scenario-based learning. Answers based on Ontario WSIB rules, Canadian Red Cross policy, and Belleville course options.
Most Ontario workplaces require Standard First Aid, also called Intermediate First Aid, with Level C and AED. Courses meet Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and Workplace Safety and Insurance Board expectations. The updated WSIB program started on June 22, 2026, so providers must meet current standards.
Level C covers adults, children, and infants. The AED component includes trainer practice. No prerequisites are required, and participants must achieve a minimum grade of 75% on evaluations.
Basic Life Support replaced CPR HCP in April 2019. It is designed for healthcare participants, provider roles, and clinical teams that need high-performance resuscitation, team-based response, and advanced airway practice. BLS certification is valid for one year.
Certificates issued after successful completion are usually delivered within 48 hours. Cards and certificates are valid for three years for most programs, including Standard First Aid and AED Level C, unless a specific program states otherwise.
Recertification must be completed with the same certifying body. Standard First Aid holders can recertify only once, and if certification is over three years old, the full course is required. Recertification requires 100% attendance and a minimum grade of 75%.
Yes. The Babysitting Course is for ages 11 to 15, and certification is often required for babysitting jobs. Stay Safe! teaches core safety skills for younger children. Youth programs include Basic First Aid and child care skills.
Yes. Professional Responder courses cover advanced emergency care. EMR requires 80 hours in class, and advanced credentials are available for responder-level careers such as future firefighters, police applicants, and emergency response teams.
