Psychological First Aid Course
This course is designed for anyone 16 years (recommended) or older who is interested in learning about how psychology plays just as important a role as physical first aiders in our day-to-day lives. Psychological First Aid teaches participants about the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief of themselves and others. It is important for participants to understand these effects so they are able to help themselves or others handle life’s challenges or mental health issues.
We all know someone who is suffering with their mental health whether that is from stress, trauma or grief. What we may not know is how they are coping with their problem. Many of those who are suffering require emotional and psychological support in order to properly heal.
This course focuses on self-care and personal protection so participants can learn to build resiliency against these challenges and maintain a proper balance of their mental, emotional and physical health. Not only will you learn how to help yourself, you will also learn how to identify and prevent stress for others and become a caring, supportive listener.

For those who do not have groups of 8+ participants to complete the in-class Psychological First Aid course, we also offer online-only training courses. Our online-only Psychological First Aid courses allow you to learn valuable skills from the comfort of your own home.

Course Pricing & Discount:
The $69.99 price you are referring to is for our CPR & AED Level C course, which is a different and lower-level course than the Standard First Aid with CPR course you selected. The price for your course is clearly stated on our website, and our 10% discount applies to that listed price.
Certification Process & Temporary Certificate:
As clearly outlined in our terms and conditions and confirmation email, your official certificate is emailed within 5 to 10 business days. The physical certificate booklet you received is a valid temporary certificate issued by the Canadian Red Cross. If your employer requires specific details such as start and end dates, it is up to you to communicate this to them.
Express Certificate Option:
For customers needing their certification sooner, we offer an express service to receive the certificate within 24 hours for a small fee. This is an optional service, not an additional charge for your standard certificate, which will still be sent within the stated timeframe.
It is important to read the confirmation email and course details before booking to avoid misunderstandings.
