First Responder Recertification (FR) Training Program

Ready to refresh your First Responder (FR) skills? At Coast2Coast, we provide First Responder Recertification training courses throughout Ontario, helping keep our student’s certificates valid. This advanced training has been designed to go over content you have previously learned while also incorporating newly developed life-saving techniques.

The course covers a wide range of topics from assessing patients and circulatory emergencies to hemorrhages and soft tissue trauma. In addition to this content, students will also learn how to extricate patients, deliver a baby and so much more.

Each of these skills is not only taught over lecture but also taught through scenario-based training. Students will be required to act out emergency scenes as a way to practice patient assessments, vitals, various medical emergencies, and how to care for the patient. Practicing scenarios is a key aspect of First Responder Recertification training.

Requirements:

Proof of valid First Responder Canadian Red Cross Certification
100% attendance of the course
75% score on the multiple choice knowledge test
Successful demonstration of required skills
Successfully complete minimum of two practical scenarios (one medical, one trauma)

Certification:

Certificate will be issued, valid for 3 years

First Responders play a very important role in our community, and it’s our job to ensure they learn the necessary skills to save a life. Our goal is to provide our students with the best training possible, helping them build confidence in their life-saving skills. Learn theory and complete various hands-on scenarios which will prepare you for your career as a First Responder!

We want our students to completely understand how to use various tools such as KEDs, backboards, blood pressure cuffs and more! Learn from Canadian Red Cross instructors who have experience as paramedics, field medics, etc.

Private Training - First Responder Recertification Courses

Interested in Private Training? If you have a group of eight or more participants who need First Responder Recertification, you are eligible to sign up for a Private Training course. Private Training allows you to learn important life-saving skills at a location of your choice! We’ll send one of our highly trained Canadian Red Cross instructors to you. Dimitrih was an amazing facilitator, well versed and so engaging. I learned more from him during our re-certification training then the first time around.

He made it easy for me to absorb the information I needed and I felt comfortable practicing the hands-on portion of the training. Which allowed me to feel confident doing the test/exam at the end.
