    At Coast2Coast, we proudly offer American Red Cross youth courses to help children, teens, and young adults build confidence, responsibility, and life-saving skills. We believe that learning how to respond in an emergency is essential at any age—and our Babysitting and Child Care training programs are a great place to start.

    Students can register for one of our engaging courses, including Babysitting Basics, Babysitter’s Training, or Advanced Child Care Training. These programs go beyond safety—they also teach leadership, decision-making, and how to care for others with compassion and professionalism.

    Our Babysitting and Child Care courses are available online and in-person, making it easy for students to participate from the comfort of home or in a supportive classroom environment. Courses are led by certified American Red Cross instructors who bring learning to life through interactive lessons, videos, and real-world scenarios.

    Designed for youth ages 11–16, this hands-on course teaches the skills and confidence needed to be a trusted babysitter. Through interactive lessons, videos, group discussions, and real-world practice, students gain the knowledge to care for infants and children safely and responsibly.

    Topics include:

    • Feeding, diapering, and properly holding young children

    • How to handle emergencies and stay safe on the job

    • Responding to common behaviors and situations

    • Building strong communication and leadership skills

    This course also helps participants build confidence in their ability to make good decisions and stay calm under pressure. It’s a great next step after our Babysitting Basics course or for anyone looking to take on babysitting jobs in their community.

    Students who complete the training will receive a 10-year Babysitter’s Training certificate, showing they’re ready to care for children with skill and responsibility.

    Advanced Child Care

    Take your babysitting skills to the next level with this online Advanced Child Care Training course. Perfect for older teens and young adults, this program is designed for those who want to provide high-quality care for children and infants both in the home and in more professional settings.

    Students will learn how to:

    • Build strong leadership and communication skills

    • Understand child behavior and apply effective discipline strategies

    • Provide safe and age-appropriate care, including bottle feeding and proper holding techniques

    • Act professionally and responsibly as a caregiver

    Engaging animated scenarios and interactive activities allow learners to make real-time decisions and see how their choices play out—making this a dynamic, immersive learning experience. Supplementary videos and activities further reinforce each topic.

    Note: This course is not intended for state-licensed child care certification and does not meet all state requirements for licensed providers.

    I recently had the opportunity to train with Coast2Coast, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience! The trainer Dimitrih Lafleur was an absolute gem - a pleasant and well-thought-out gentleman with a warm and engaging presence. His gentle yet confident approach made me feel at ease, even when tackling challenging topics as a first timer.

    What really stood out was his ability to break down complex concepts into easily digestible bits, making it easy for me to grasp and apply the material. I was amazed at how much I learned, and I'm thrilled to say that I got the best out of the training!

    Even though I had no prior knowledge in some areas, he was able to present the material in a way that was fresh and engaging, and I appreciated his patience and willingness to answer all my questions. His bit of puffy and gesture attitude really helped to keep me engaged and motivated throughout the training. Smiling in delight, he asked while I was demonstrating CPR, if I needed coffee or a donut, trying to gauge if I would be distracted. I fell for it deliberately to get my anxiety out

    Overall, I highly recommend Coast2Coast and their trainer to anyone looking for a supportive and effective first aid/CPR learning experience. Thank you for a fantastic training experience.
