What To Expect During FR/EMR Training

Students will practice hands-on skills with the best training equipment around! This training is heavily scenario-based. Students will be required to think on the spot in order to provide the best care for their “patient.” Each student will respond to multiple scenarios under the guidance of an experienced Canadian Red Cross instructor.

Not only will you learn how to perform techniques, you will also learn how to communicate and work as a team. It is important to understand that working together can make the difference between life and death.

During scenario training, students will have the opportunity to act as a primary responder, secondary responder, victim and bystander. Primary responders must give orders to their secondary responder. Each responder must work together to care for the victim. They must also communicate with the bystander and victim to find out more information regarding the incident.

Bruce was one of if not the best instructors I've ever had, for any course. This man truly wants to teach and help. His approach is very hands on and gets everyone involved. The course flew by, and at no point did I feel uninterested or bored. He made learning fun and engaging and I truly appreciated his enthusiasm and knowledge. I would request Bruce again for my next refresher course, he was an amazing instructor!!

I'm glad that I had the chance to have my Standard First Aid CPR-C course with Suresh. He is such a respectful gentleman who is so patient with you, answers all your questions in detail and overally a nice and kind person to be around. I enjoyed every minute of my in person portion which was 8 hrs without feeling bored or exhausted( unlike the online portion of the course:/)So I recommend him to everyone who wants to learn how to save someone's life confidently!Thank you Suresh for all of your efforts and passion you put in your work 🙏🏻Sara H.P
